Prince George’s County, Maryland – 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be sexually abused before they reach age 18. (1)

Tonya GJ Prince, is a Survivor of child sexual abuse and a mom.  For both these reasons, when the new school year rolls around, she becomes extremely concerned for children and their families. WESurviveAbuse.com wants to make sure that as parents are preparing children for school, they remember to have several necessary talks about safety.

Prince is a subject matter expert in both domestic and sexual violence with over 25 years of experience serving victims of these crimes. In 2009 she founded WESurviveAbuse.com with the goal of sharing critical information about violence and abuse with victims that are most unlikely to go unheard; especially children.
